Class Description:
Archery is now closed due to maximum enrollment.
This class will run from August through March.
This class is offered to 6th-12th grade students on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00-2:50 pm (Archery 1) or 3:00-4:30 pm (Archery 2). All 6th-12th grade students will need to choose between these two time slots. When registering, please choose the numbered option that corresponds with the class time.
This program presents instruction and encouragement to provide a unique opportunity for students to excel in archery, thus promoting self-confidence, respect for others, and a cohesive team spirit demonstrated to others for the glory of God.
The team presents NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) International Style archery instruction, designed to help the archer mature and participate in regional tournaments.
Equipment (bows, arrows, targets, etc.) is provided by BTHE (Burge Terrace Home Educators). Team members may purchase their own NASP Original Genesis bow. This is the only bow approved by NASP and BTHE. Arm guards or other personal equipment may be purchased upon approval of the archery coach.
All archers are expected to attend competitive competitions. The following fees will be due August 18th: $40.00 for first semester tournament fees and $15.00 for a team shirt. One check made to Burge Terrace is fine. If a student has a shirt from last year, they may continue to use it.
