This Ivy Tech dual credit course is a first semester class only. The cost is $530.00 for the semester.
This course introduces the student to terminology, concepts, theory, and fundamental skills used to implement information systems and functions in a wide variety of applications from small to enterprise organizations. Topics include the history of and trends in computing, operating systems, database technology, security, cloud implementations and other concepts associated with applying the principles of good information management to the organization. Students will apply technical writing and effective presentation skills through completing a research project.
The textbook is available on the Ivy+ Bookshelf and is included in the cost of the course. Low-cost Print Options (or Loose-leaf Print) are available to students as a part of the Ivy+ program, students with digital textbooks have access to low-cost print (or loose-leaf print) options. If you need a low-cost print option, you can visit the BNC student portal to access or visit your Barnes & Noble campus bookstore.
