This unique writing course begins where many courses don’t go at all, and that is with the exploration of story. Students will see stories through different eyes – therefore creating a wonderful platform on which to build their own novels. Through videos, text reading, and in-class teaching, discussion, and collaboration, students will create a 12 chapter novel to be published by the end of the year. Focus will be directed on character and setting development, plot structure, creativity, editing, cover design and more as they create their very own novel. This collaborative classroom effort is the very best environment for students to finish their projects.
This class meets on Wednesdays only during the school year. This allows time for students to get writing done without being frustrated.
