Class Description:
The cost is $250.00 per semester.
This course is to help students transition easily from arithmetic to algebra. We will be reviewing skills they have learned in previous arithmetic classes and building on those skills. Variables are introduced early in the text. We will work with numerical expressions and will evaluate algebraic expressions of all kinds.
Topics that will be covered throughout the year are as follows: Procedures for solving simple equations; Learning how to work with decimals, integers, and rational numbers; Solving more difficult equations and inequalities; Ratios, Proportions, and Percents; Geometry.
